Daniel Soares is an award-winning Portuguese director, writer, and photographer. Born in Germany and based in NYC, his work is known to reflect the quirks and oddities of humanity with cinematic visuals and nuanced storytelling. Daniel’s work has been displayed at the International Center of Photography and featured in online publications such as The Guardian, NatGeo, and Nowness. He is a Young Guns 15 winner and has garnered multiple international accolades from Cannes Lions, One Show, ADC, Clio, Epica, Eurobest, LIA, and numerous others. His latest short film “O que resta” (“What remains”) won the National Competition for Best Short Film at IndieLisboa International Film Festival in addition to being selected by Barry Jenkins for the 48th Telluride Film Festival.
