Zoran and Ludovic Boukherma are twin brothers and filmmakers. At just 32 years old, they have already directed four feature films. Their first, « Willy 1er », was part of the official ACID selection at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016. Their second, « Teddy », released in 2021, was selected for the 2020 Cannes Film Festival. « L'année du Requin », released in the summer of 2022, featured an impressive cast, including Marina Foïs, Jean-Pascal Zidi, and Kad Merad.

With their last two films, the Boukherma brothers have embraced genre cinema, introducing menacing creatures : a werewolf prowling a suburban area and a ferocious shark threatening the peace of the Arcachon Basin. Their films stand out for their striking visuals, impeccable actor direction, bold staging that leaves no one indifferent, and underlying messages about contemporary society.

Canal+ selected the brothers to adapt Nicolas Mathieu's 2018 Prix Goncourt-winning novel, « And Their Children After Them », for the big screen. The film, co-produced by Trésor Films and Chifoumi and distributed by Warner Bros, was released in theaters on December 4, 2024. Its cast includes Paul Kircher, Gilles Lellouche, Ludivine Sagnier and Angelina Woreth.
