Jimmy Laporal-Trésor is a director, screenwriter and producer with over 10 years of experience in the film industry. He gained recognition for his short film Le Baiser, and more recently his critically acclaimed short film Soldat Noir, which won the Leitz Ciné Discovery Prize for Best Short Film, the Canal+ Short Film Award, and was selected at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival Semaine de la Critique. Soldat Noir was also nominated for best fiction short film at the 2022 César Awards. His first feature film, Les Rascals, was released in French theatres in January of 2023.
