Hugo P. Thomas co-directed several award-winning shorts before co-directing with Zoran Boukherma, Ludovic Boukherma and Marielle Gautier his first feature film "Willy 1er", presented by the Association pour le cinéma indépendant et sa diffusion (ACID) at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. He also wrote the music for this film.
At the 2022 Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival, he presented his second feature, "Juniors", his first as a solo director. This rural teen movie, starring Vanessa Paradis, won the Jury Mention in Bordeaux, as well as several awards in France and abroad. The film was released in summer 2023.
